2.3 Workmanship- Metal components shall be free of laminations, blisters, slivers, rolled-in scales, tears, cracks, cuts, splits, fractures, buckling, dents, wrinkles, or die marks. Finishes shall be free of imbedded foreign matter, chipping, flaking or evidence of corrosion. Plated finishes shall be free of porosity and pits. Coated finishes shall be the color specified and shall not be tacky. Soldering shall be continuous and adherent. Closures shall fit and shall be operable. Gaskets, liners, or cap seals shall not be broken, torn, chipped, or cracked and shall be properly applied. The cap shall provide a leak proof closure. Can shall not have any defects that affect serviceability.
3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:
The manufacturer shall utilize recovered materials in accordance with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable.
3. QUALITY ASSURANCE:
3.1 Product Conformance. The product provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this commercial item description. The quality of the product sold to the government shall be equal to or better that the quality of the product sold by the manufacturer in the commercial market. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance.
4. PACKAGING:
Preservation, Packaging, Packing, Labeling, and Marking shall be as specified in the contract or purchase order.
